Comments:
VlmI We have demonstrated by gel shift mobility assays that the longer version of VlmI (VlmI-L) binds to a bidirectional promoterin the intergenic region between vlmA and vlmH as well as to a promoter region upstream of vlmJ. Sequence analysis of the vlmI gene from the valanimycin biosynthetic gene cluster indicates that VlmI is a member of the SARP family of transcriptional activators.
