Transcription factor: PimR

GenBank ID 152955875
Factor type ND
Pfam PF00486 (Transcriptional regulatory protein, C terminal ) PF03704 (Bacterial transcriptional activator domain )
Consensus seq. ND
Comment PimR represents the archetype of a new class of regulators, combining a Streptomyces antibiotic regulatory protein (SARP)-like Nterminal section with a C-terminal half homologous to guanylate cyclases and large ATP-binding regulators of the LuxR family. PimR activates the transcription of all the genes belonging to the pimaricin gene cluster but not its own transcription.
