Comment SCO1480 shows a high similarity to MihF, an integration host factor(IHF) from Mycobacterium smegmatis (score 206; E-value 5e-16; 43% identity in amino acids 1?102). A thoroughexamination revealed that there are no IHF-like proteins in S. coelicolor, with the exception of SCO1480. Therefore, it may be possible that SCO1480 functions as an integration host factor.
